Drag & Drop Photo Processing for LumaBooth on Mac
I'd like to formally request that the Drag & Drop Photos feature (currently available in LumaBooth for Windows) be brought to LumaBooth for Mac. Feature Summary: Allow users to drag and drop image files from Finder directly into the LumaBooth app on Mac, triggering the same processing pipeline as a live camera capture: applying the selected print layout template, overlays, filters, and background replacements, then outputting a final composite ready to print or share. Specific Use Cases: Client previews: Dragging sample photos into a layout to show clients what their final prints will look like before the event, without needing a camera connected. Session reprocessing: Re-running photos from a completed event through a different template or with updated branding without reshooting. Template testing: Quickly validating new layout designs with real photos before going live at an event. Backup workflow: Processing photos taken with an external camera or phone that weren't captured directly through LumaBooth. Expected Behavior (matching Windows version): User selects the number of photos matching the template's photo slots (e.g., 3 photos for a 3-slot layout). User drags them from Finder into the LumaBooth window. LumaBooth processes them as if captured by a connected camera: applies the active template, overlays, filters, and green screen replacement if enabled. The final composite is saved to the event gallery and available for printing/sharing. Why it matters: Many photobooth operators are migrating to Apple Silicon MacBooks for their portability, battery life, and build quality. Currently, the only way to access this feature is to run a separate Windows machine or use Parallels ($100/yr). This creates unnecessary friction and added cost for operators who otherwise prefer the Mac ecosystem. Adding this feature would bring the Mac version closer to feature parity with Windows and serve a growing segment of your user base. Thank you for considering this. Happy to provide more detail or connect you with other operators who would benefit.

AI edited Template according to @answers
I would like to edit the template using AI based on the user’s answers. it would be great to use the survey’s answers and not a guest question. So you can make only answer the questions first and based on the answers have an AI template edited and an AI portrait at the same time using the same answers. I hope i have explained myself :) Thank you

Determine portrait or landscape orientation for each template.
Hi everyone, I have another suggestion for a change. When my guests start the AI photo booth, they have to decide whether they want to generate a portrait or landscape image. Then, the various templates are presented for selection. This creates a problem: when selecting the format, the user doesn't yet know which templates are actually available. For instance, if I choose landscape format and then pick a magazine-style template, it won't fit properly. It would be better if I could specify—when creating the template—whether the booth should produce a portrait or landscape image. That way, the guest could decide which format they want only if I have enabled both (or multiple) formats. In other words, the template I create would determine the camera orientation. Regards, Potty

Hi everyone, I’m having a problem with the on-screen keyboard. When the on-screen keyboard opens, it’s possible to exit the photo booth app using the Windows key. This allows any guest to quit full-screen mode. Is there any way to block this? Regards, Potty

Please add the custom template library I created. That way, whenever I create an event, I won't need to re-edit the template; I can simply select it from the existing library on the Lumabooth dashboard.

Direct USB printing from iPad to Citizen CY-02
I already have a paid Lumabooth subscription. I use Lumabooth on a Windows PC for my photo booth. I would like to know if the same subscription can also be used on a Mac or iPad when the Windows PC is not being used at the same time. I do not need simultaneous use on multiple devices. I only want to use one subscription across different platforms for a single user. Please clarify whether this is supported.

Use of video for background removal
Hi Team, awesome app but please consider including the option to use a video as the background when using AI background removal or greenscreen. I use Lumabooth for my 360 booth and I would like to use a video when using the background removal tool. I tried using a static photo and output was not great. I can create a video in Mp4 format and in 1080×1920 that looks like its the actual background of the beach. I plan on using the background removal tools and my beach video to make it look like people are at a different place. I hope this is making sense but especially allow the use of a video as the background instead of a photo when using background removal tools.

Photo approval before AI
When using AI Portrait, there should be an option to approve the photo before sending it for AI processing. I’m seeing a lot of retakes at events; besides consuming extra credits, this slows down the service flow since the same person ends up having multiple photos taken. It’s a simple feature that would greatly improve the AI experience.

Re-upload Event
Hi, I had an event with a poor internet connection. Only 4 photos were uploaded to FotoShare Cloud. All remaining photos still exist locally in the event folder. In LumaBooth for Windows v8, Sharing Status shows 0 Pending Uploads, so the application no longer attempts to upload the missing photos. Is there any way to force a complete re-upload of an existing event to FotoShare Cloud?

Reprint Photos (Disable Printlimit, but enable number of prints per session)
For example, I'd like to limit the number of prints per photo to 2, so that, for example, children can't print an unlimited number of photos at once. At the same time, however, if it's a group photo, I'd like guests to be able to keep returning to the gallery and print the photo twice each time. This feature was available before. Does that no longer work? IN the picture you can see the old and the new settings in the print setup.

The option to keep a session going for a repeat user
Would it be possible to add another session(s) before sharing? For example, let’s say one person will be taking photos with different guests and would rather not enter their phone # each time but instead keep going and once done just send all photos via one link.

The option to retake one or more of the pictures in a session before the option to share the photo
Often we get asked by guests using the booth if they can retake, say for example, the 2nd photo in a 3-photo session once they see the last preview before sharing their photos. Would it be possible to add a feature that allows them to select which photos/if any they would like to retake before sending themselves the photo?

Hi Loomas,
I have a few suggestions for your great software. 1. Why are two AI images always uploaded when using the AI feature? The app uploads both the AI image and the photo layout image. 2. When selecting the AI option, it should be possible to assign a title to the AI generation. E.g., Create a movie poster – My Sport – Me and my pet. 3. It would be great if, after creating an AI image and selecting portrait and art styles, I could view, copy, and then modify the generated code. 4. There should be an option to enable a numeric keypad that doesn't obscure the input field. (10") 5. When I create an event on a PC, I cannot enable the "Start in full-screen mode" option. Your app is great, keep up the good work! Potty

Mosaic Wall module
Hello, Here's a feature suggestion that could add a lot of value to LumaBooth: A Mosaic Wall module where an event can be configured so that each photo taken contributes to a digital mosaic, gradually revealing a company logo, artwork, or any large image as more guests participate. It could also include support for a physical mosaic wall, where each printed photo contains a unique grid position or code indicating exactly where it should be placed on a display board. As guests add their photos, the final image would progressively appear. I think this could be a great addition for corporate events, trade shows, product launches, and brand activations, making the experience even more interactive and engaging.

Add High Frame-Rate (60fps/120fps) USB Video Tethering for Supported Sony Cameras (a6700)
Hi LumaBooth Team, I am writing to request feature parity for Sony cameras regarding high frame-rate video capture for the Slow-Mo and 360 Booth modes in LumaBooth for Windows (dslrBooth). Currently, LumaBooth natively supports Sony mirrorless cameras (like my Sony a6700) for standard photo and video capture via PC Remote tethering. However, while Canon and Nikon cameras are fully supported for pulling 60-120 fps high frame-rate feeds over USB, Sony cameras are currently restricted to standard frame rates. The Problem: When utilizing the multi-clip timeline for Slow-Mo or Boomerang effects, the standard frame rate pulled from the Sony camera results in choppy video because it lacks the physical frames to be stretched smoothly. Even when using a high-end Windows PC and a native 5Gbps Type-C cable, the software bottlenecks the camera. This limits Sony users to basic photo booth setups and prevents us from utilizing LumaBooth for high-end 360 or Slomo activations, despite our cameras being fully capable of 120fps output over USB. The Solution: Please expand the current Sony integration to support pulling high frame-rate video (60fps/120fps) via USB PC Remote connection, matching the existing functionality provided for Canon and Nikon models. Sony's recent updates to their Camera Remote SDK actively support enhanced remote menu settings for video and improved processing speeds for repetitive shooting and file transfers. Business Value / Impact: Sony mirrorless cameras are now the absolute industry standard for modern videographers and event professionals. Currently, Windows users wanting to run a Sony-powered Slow-Mo booth are forced to abandon LumaBooth and pivot to competing alternatives like Touchpix, simply because LumaBooth limits the camera's frame rate. Unlocking 120fps USB tethering for Sony would be a massive win for your Windows user base, attract the massive Sony market share, and keep professional creators locked into your ecosystem! Thank you for your time and for continuing to improve the software.
