Assign Photo Layouts to Specific Modes (AI vs Standard Photo)

Allow each photo layout to be assigned to specific modes, so operators can decide which layouts are available for AI Portrait and which for standard photos. The common use case is a single-image layout for AI and multi-photo strips for normal sessions, because running AI on a three or four photo strip uses several credits, takes longer, and mixes up faces across frames. Variations include auto-selecting a designated layout when a guest chooses AI, and choosing how many photos in a strip get the AI treatment.

Original request

I would like to suggest adding more flexibility when working with photo layouts (templates).

Currently, all photo layouts are shared across different modes (AI and standard photo), which limits control over how each mode behaves.

Suggested improvement:
Allow assigning each photo layout to specific modes using simple selection options (e.g. checkboxes).

For example:

  • A layout could be assigned to:

    • AI Photo ✔

    • Standard Photo ✔ / ✖

Maybe like this:

Example use case:

  • A single-image postcard layout is assigned only to AI mode and standard-photo-mode

  • A photo strip layout is assigned only to standard photo mode

This would ensure:

  • AI always uses a single image layout

  • Photo strips are only used for normal photo sessions

Alternative / extended idea:
Allow creating separate layouts directly per mode, for example:

  • AI-specific layouts (e.g. different overlay, branding, style)

  • Standard photo layouts (e.g. multiple formats, multiple Photos, strips, etc.)

This would allow using completely different designs for AI images vs normal photos.

Why this matters:
AI workflows are different from standard photo sessions:

  • AI works best with single images

  • Multi-image layouts (like strips) can cause long processing times

  • Mixing both leads to inconsistent results and slower workflows

This will be my last post for today – thanks a lot! 😊
I hope these suggestions help improve the photo booth software a bit. I think these features would make a really nice difference in real event use.

Single AI Photo but Multiple Layouts for Non-AI

With the new AI feature toggle (skip) function, would love the option of having a single photo option for AI and keep multiple photos for normal photo option.

    AI for multiple layouts

Hi! If I’m using multiple photo layouts within the same event, is there a way to have AI apply only to certain layouts?

For example, if I have a 1-photo layout and a 3-photo layout, I want the 1-photo layout to use AI, but if the guest selects the 3-photo layout, I want those photos to remain completely normal with no AI processing.

Right now, AI seems to apply to all layouts. Is it possible to assign AI only to selected layouts?

    AI portraits for specific layouts

    Hi,

I would like the option to have AI portraits on only certain layouts rather than a skip AI button.

I have a 4 picture layout for normal party photos then I would like to give the option to the customer for AI Portrait but only one photo as opposed to four so it’s not using as many credits.

The way it’s set up now I would need to manage the booth the whole night to stop people using AI for 4 photos on one layout.

    Kind Regards

    David

    Overlay limited selection

It would be great to allow a specific template to be automatically selected when a customer chooses the AI style. This way, AI-generated images could be directed to a single template, while non-AI users continue to have a standard booth experience.

    AI Portrait only single photos

I have a standard mode with a single photo and a three in a row template.

If I use AI portrait you can choose both versions afterward.

I you choose the three in a row, then the AI feature starts three times as well and it takes 3 credits.

Unfortunately The AI engine mixes up and only half of the people are set in correctly. The other half are random persons and NOT the real people.

I would like a feature That you can chose only single photo template if you want to use AI portrait but you’re allowed to choose all templates if you skip AI

    Thx from Germany

Possibility of only one photo with AI

Please add the option to select how many AI-generated photos we want in a photo section; it would be really cool in a comic strip with 3 poses, 2 normal photos and 1 AI-generated photo.

You can set the number of photos to capture by adjusting the number of photo place holders in your Photo Layout (Print layout).

Could you please show an example of this setting as an image? That would be helpful. Right now, it's hard to picture how to set it up. Thank you very much.
