Issues with Lumabooth for Windows after merge with DSLR Booth

Hello Support Team,

I am writing to report several serious issues I have been experiencing with Lumabooth for Windows since the application was merged with DSLR Booth. As a professional photo booth operator, this software is critical to my daily work, and the current state of the application is significantly affecting the quality of service I can deliver to my clients.

The specific problems I am encountering are:

1. AI Background Removal — missing preview on the start screen When AI Background Removal is enabled, the start screen no longer shows a live preview of the group composited with the selected graphics (background and frame overlay). Guests cannot see how they will look before the shot is taken, which was a key part of the original experience.

2. Background selection no longer shows a preview before the countdown After the user selects a background, the application immediately starts the countdown — again without showing the selected background in the preview. The original DSLR Booth workflow, where the chosen background was shown in the live preview before the countdown started, worked much better and was far more intuitive for guests.

3. Application freezes during the final second of the countdown Lumabooth repeatedly freezes on the last second of the countdown and becomes unresponsive. This happens during live events in front of paying clients, which is not acceptable for software marketed as a professional product.

I was a long-time user of DSLR Booth and was satisfied with how it worked. Since the merge into Lumabooth, the application has become noticeably less reliable and the user experience for guests has been downgraded. I would appreciate it if these issues could be addressed in an upcoming update, and I would also like to know whether there is any way to restore the previous DSLR Booth preview behavior.
