I would like to suggest adding more flexibility when working with photo layouts (templates).
Currently, all photo layouts are shared across different modes (AI and standard photo), which limits control over how each mode behaves.
Suggested improvement:
Allow assigning each photo layout to specific modes using simple selection options (e.g. checkboxes).
For example:
A layout could be assigned to:
AI Photo ✔
Standard Photo ✔ / ✖
Maybe like this:

Example use case:
A single-image postcard layout is assigned only to AI mode and standard-photo-mode
A photo strip layout is assigned only to standard photo mode
This would ensure:
AI always uses a single image layout
Photo strips are only used for normal photo sessions
Alternative / extended idea:
Allow creating separate layouts directly per mode, for example:
AI-specific layouts (e.g. different overlay, branding, style)
Standard photo layouts (e.g. multiple formats, multiple Photos, strips, etc.)
This would allow using completely different designs for AI images vs normal photos.
Why this matters:
AI workflows are different from standard photo sessions:
AI works best with single images
Multi-image layouts (like strips) can cause long processing times
Mixing both leads to inconsistent results and slower workflows
This will be my last post for today – thanks a lot! 😊
I hope these suggestions help improve the photo booth software a bit. I think these features would make a really nice difference in real event use.
